Brookhaven Seventh-day Adventist School

Educating students for this world and the next.

Extracurricular Activities

Brookhaven Strings

The strings group at Brookhaven is comprised of students of all grades who play string instruments! There are typically several groups depending on the number of students interested, and their ability levels. Repertoire includes both classical and sacred pieces. The groups are designed as a chance for the students to practice playing as a part of an ensemble in addition to their private lessons. The group is designed for string instruments, although we have had other instruments in the past as well. The students play regularly for church programs, as well as other area events. If you have any questions about the group, or want to know if it would be an appropriate fit for your child, please contact the school.

Basketball Program (Brookhaven Badgers)

Our school offers a basketball program for both girls and boys at the middle school level (grades 5-8). Our goal is to create an environment that most importantly represents Christ. Other areas that we focus on include sportsmanship, exercise, and knowledge of the game of basketball. We believe our program will help our children to develop the skill set to be active in an organized sport in addition to learning the rules of the game of basketball. During the season we practice on average 2 times per week. The skills that each child learns with our team can be applied at the next level which will be high school in regards to their Christ-like behavior, basketball knowledge, physical exercise, and sportsmanship. We play games with other Seventh-Day Adventist Schools in the SDA Carolina Conference (North and South Carolina) and with local Christian Schools in the Greenville, NC area.
